Valentine's day is just around the corner. I love Valentine's day. I know its a cheesy holiday but I love it. It's a nice reminder to tell all the important people in your life how much you love them. Of course I would be lying if I said I am not looking forward to enjoying some chocolate and a few sappy romance movies.
Over at the Merrill home we have been getting our home ready for the holiday.
I don't have too many decorations for Valentine's day but I thought I could spruce up our front patio a little bit. I found these two amazing crafts on Pinterest. I love Pinterest. I, like many of you out there, have quit the addiction. :)
These pillows were so much fun to make. I like those projects that are quick and simple and they were just that. All that was needed was to make an envelope pillow case. The "X" and the "O" I cut out using a stencil and sewed around the letters two times. My favorite part about the stitching on the letters was that it didn't need to be perfect and the more you didn't sew perfectly straight the more interesting they turned out.
Every front door ALWAYS needs a wreath. Wreaths can be so easy and cheap to make. This one was fairly easy and so much fun. You can play with the colors. The one I found on Pinterest used a lighter grey in place of the white but my variety of yarn colors are a little limited. I think it still came out pretty good. What do you think?
The best part about these pillows and wreath is for the next person who sends a client my way in the month of February will win these fun pillows and wreath! All you have to do to win is have your friend or Co-Worker (whoever it might be) message me at my April May Interiors Facebook page and be sure to have them tell me you sent them!!!
